Kimberly Vorperian is a visual artist, musician, and entrepreneur.   Her work is inspired by pattern, landscape, Eastern philosophy, and the spirit of rock and roll.   She plays with the relationship between her Armenian/Eastern European heritage and American roots unearthing times faintly remembered and ushers them into the conversation of our modern day living.

With a strong love for folklore, mid century design, and ancient building techniques,  Kimberly weaves many elements together to create an abstracted visual language nodding to our shared memory bank.  By means of these cultural “breadcrumbs” comes the hope that a light will shine on the path toward remembering who we are, where we come from, and the beauty we can create together.  Kimberly believes as we move forward in the spirit of progress the importance of our bond with the natural world, beauty, our ancestry, and interconnectedness is more important than ever.

Kimberly is an emerging artist who works in the mediums of installation, painting, collage, and sculpture.  She has exhibited within Central Florida in local galleries and has private collectors throughout the United States, England, and Spain.  She graduated with her BA in Visual Art and Experimental Music from New College of Florida in 2009.  In 2014 she completed an Artist Residency in Manchester, England and had a solo exhibition at AWOL Studios.  In 2010 she created a successful artisan soap project called Bodhi Basics which she still operates today.

Kimberly currently lives in Lakeland, Florida with her boyfriend Will and two dogs, Bodhi and Loretta June.
